Mac review: Pro lip palettes.

So payday arrived and shock horror- I bought Make-up.

I ordered 3 lip palettes, 6 Editorial Reds, 6 Preferred Pinks and 6 Selected Plums(I also ordered fix+ and oil control lotion, but this review is for lippies only!) - All priced at £35 per palette.

Well worth it in my opinion. From buying the palettes you get to try out a variety of shades - saving you from buying separate lipsticks at £15 each. If you were to buy 6 shades separately it would cost a bomb(£90 in total). It depends on which way you look at it really, if you were a MUA that constantly uses up lippie and replaces on a regular basis- then no, I would recommend buying these palettes for value wise. The reason being that you only get 1g of each lipstick(6g in each palette). Where as if you bought a lipstick separately for £15 you would get 3g of product. But if you are just starting out as a MUA and looking to expand your kit, try new shades etc - or just a Make-up Junkie looking for something new to buy - I would recommend it!

My first impressions: *inhales* ahhh! The smell! From the instant you open the palette you can smell cupcakes and happiness!

"SHE DOESN'T EVEN GO HERE!" - the smell of these lipsticks reminds me of whatever this emotion wreck was trying to get at - its not her fault she was a heavy flow and a wide set vagina???! (If you haven't seen Mean Girls you probs think I'm a creep, yeap. Sorry, not sorry.) - okay that was a little off topic, back the the review!

I would say that you get a selection of the most popular colours from Mac, plus you could always mix the colours together to get a desired colour which is a huge benefit!

You get a variety of finishes as well, matte, satin, cremesheen, amplified creme, frost and lustre. So you get to try out and see what the finishes are like and if they suit you.

I haven't had much time to play with them yet as I just got then yesterday. But so far so good! A definite must have for beginners pro kits and makeup lovers!
